Casting Out Demons

Life is a struggle not only against physical forces and death, but also against the spiritual force demons that attack us continually trying to snatch our souls and widen the chasm between God and us, and us and our neighbors. When demons tempt you, attack you, turn to Jesus who has the power to cast them out. We are held captive to sin and unable to free ourselves. Pray that the Holy Spirit working through Christ's Holy Church will send God's Holy Angels to minister to us. In the tug-of-war of life, between angels and demons, pull with the angels! Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)
