"Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil."

These familiar words from the Lord's Prayer take on new meaning when we truly understand them. Just as Jesus faced temptation in the wilderness, we, too, encounter daily battles against the devil, the world, and our own flesh. But here's the good news: We're not alone in this fight!

God doesn't shield us from all temptation, but He:

• Guards us from its disastrous effects,
• Gives us strength to resist, and
• Provides weapons like prayer, Scripture, and our faith community.

Remember, temptation may knock constantly, but with God's help, we can stand firm and experience His grace-filled presence in our lives.
